Dr. Kaboré is a vital force behind the seamless execution of Uphope International’s projects. Dr. Kaboré is an expert in community-based programming for social and behavior change, community capacity strengthening with a focus on maternal, newborn, and child health, HIV/AIDS prevention, nutrition, and education. He has over 30 years of experience providing leadership in community engagement/mobilization, quality improvement, and cost recovery and program management with the goal of assisting ministries of health and NGOs to establish community health-based prevention, promotional, and curative services. Dr Kaboré’ s experience in community engagement covers care and support programs for people living with HIV (PLHIV), orphans and vulnerable children (OVC), and income generation activities. He also comes with demonstrated expertise in operational and qualitative research.
Dr. Kaboré currently serves as Lead Advisor Community Health at Save the Children and serves currently as the organization portfolio Director for Breakthrough ACTION, and Inspire SBC, USAID funded global SBC flagship Projects. In this role, he has been providing technical leadership and management oversight in more than 19 countries across Africa, Asia, Latin America and the Caribbean.
He is also an Adjunct Professor at George Town University, teaching community engagement for social and behavior change.
Dr. Kaboré is the co-founder and chair of the board for Mwangaza Action, a Burkinabe NGO specializing in community-based health programming and community mobilization for human and civil rights.
